h2o architectes was invited by the scientific committee to participate in Rome in the international symposium “New Paradigms of Urban Life: Proximity and Well-being in Cities and Regions,” organized by the Italian National Council of Architects, Urban Planners, Landscape Architects, and Conservators. Chaired by Carlo Moreno, Antoine Santiard presented the Ilot Saint-Germain project (the transformation of the former offices of the Ministry of Army into social housing and mixed used plot), and more broadly, the opportunities offered by the transformation of existing buildings for a resilient, dense city that is accessible to all.
