The press-conference room is located on the ground -floor of the ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fishing , in a listed 19th century building in rue de Varenne. The programme includes necessary technical equipment linked to the function of the room which the new architectural reconfiguration seeks to integrate as much as possible. A large and long volume is created, flooded by light coming in through three large windows on the south side. The undulating ceiling reflects the different uses of the room: access for journalists and speaker, large windows, structural elements etc. This suspended ceiling is made up of an irregular coffering, offering interesting, soft, lighting effects. The thickness of this ceiling cleverly dissimulates all the technical equipment (ventilation, lighting, microphones etc.). The ministry thus benefits from a both highly functional and poetic space.
